Togal.AI licensing through eTakeoff Dimension

Togal.AI is available through a subscription add-on, which you can enable from within Dimension. When you first open Dimension after installing the upgrade, you’ll see this message, explaining the free trial and the option to purchase.

If you choose to start the free trial, you’ll be able to use Togal.AI for seven days, generating takeoff on an unlimited number of architectural plan drawings during the trial. Once your Togal.AI trial ends, you’ll need to subscribe to it to continue using the service. If you have multiple estimators who will use Togal.AI, you’ll need to purchase a license for as many estimators as will concurrently use the Togal service If you don’t yet have a license and have not started the free trial, when you click the Togal.AI On/Off button, you’ll see the Togal.AI informational page explaining how to learn more or subscribe.  You can also view the informational page by clicking on FILE/HELP/TOGAL.AI.

When your organization purchases Togal.AI licenses, your licenses are pooled and can be used concurrently. Any estimator who opens Dimension uses one Togal.AI license for as long as Dimension remains open. The next estimator to open Dimension uses a second Togal.AI license. When one of them closes Dimension, their Togal.AI license is returned to the pool and becomes available for use by others.

In most cases, you’ll want to obtain the same number of Togal.AI licenses as you have Dimension licenses. If you obtain fewer Togal.AI licenses because some estimators work primarily with drawing types not currently processed by Togal.AI, estimators might occasionally need to close and reopen Dimension to release Togal.AI licenses for those who need it.
