eTakeoff Dimension on a workstation or stand alone computer

eTakeoff Dimension requires a PC-based computer running Windows 7, 8.1, 10 or Windows 11. Dimension itself requires minimal hardware. But for working effectively with electronic drawings, we recommend the following:

• CPU: Core i7 or equivalent or greater. Multi Core Processor recommended.
• Memory: 8 GB minimum Windows 7. 16 GB or more for Windows 10/11
• Disk Storage: 500GB minimum, 1 TB+ recommended.
• Video Card: 32-bit color required.
• Video card with 4 GB or more highly recommended
• Monitor: 24 inch or greater recommended. Dual monitors highly recommended.
• Mouse: Laser mouse with mouse wheel recommended.

eTakeoff Dimension configured in a Client Server configuration

The eTakeoff Server has minimal requirements especially if it's only used to store data. If the server is also going to act as a workstation, it will need to adhere to the requirements above. 

Minimum Hardware Requirements for Faircom DB V11 (and later) for Windows

• 1 GHz CPU
• 1 GB RAM
• 250 MB Disk space + space for your data + index files (assuming default 120MB transaction LOG_SPACE setting in ctsrvr.cfg)

Note: Additional memory will be needed for additional users beyond 16 concurrent users and larger data and index caches. 

Cache sizes larger than 2GB require a 64-bit version of the OS and c-treeACE.
